All parties paddling or motoring into Canada, whether it's Quetico or not, will need to apply for a remote border crossing permit for each member of their party. A family can apply for one permit (it's good for a year, anytime) and the $30 fee will cover mother & father and all dependent children under age 18. Children 18 and over will have to pay $30 and apply for their own permit. Remote border crossing permits must be applied for at least a month in advance to assure they are received in time, otherwise you will have to go up to Pigeon River Port of Entry and apply in person. Phone Thunder Bay, Ontario to apply:(807) 346-2150.
